koī chale na chale ham to sū-e-dār chale
na daur-e-jām na ab qissa-e-bahār chale
unhīñ kā zikr chale aur baar baar chale
ruḳh-e-zamāna badalne chale the dīvāne
tire huzūr magar kis kā iḳhtiyār chale
hayāt-e-ishq kā hāsil the bas vahī lamhe
jo terī anjuman-e-nāz meñ guzār chale
udhar manā.e ga.e ḳhuub jashn-e-dār-o-rasan
kafan-ba-dosh jidhar tere jāñ-nisār chale
ye ġham nahīñ ki hamīñ ko yahāñ amaañ na milī
ḳhushī ye hai ki tirī anjuman sañvār chale
hamīñ chaman meñ payām-e-bahār laa.e the
chaman se le ke hamīñ hasrat-e-bahār chale
mirī taraf se mubārak ho ahl-e-gulshan ko
jo mere ba.ad kabhī bād-e-nau-bahār chale
ye inqalāb ajab hai ki mai-kade se 'shamīm'
kidhar ye teġh-ba-kaf ho ke bāda-ḳhvār chale
